Hey Jude.

Fresh back from Seattle, I have lots of stories and photos to share... However, I want to spare all of you who aren't related to me from the sheer boredom of the world's longest post and/or post after post featuring nothing other than endless gushing about my nephews. So, I've decided to sprinkle in Seattle inspired posts here and there over the next week. This one? This one's for Jude.

Jude is my sweet puppy, my almost two year old nephew. Jude's older brother Max is my guy, no two ways about it. When I first learned my sister was expecting again, I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to have the same connection with another little person. What if there wasn't enough Auntie love for two? {That's the thing about the heart that never ceases to amaze me, there's always room for more. It grows to accommodate more love. And who doesn't want more love?} I was right, however. I don't have the same connection with Jude that I have with his brother. It's no more and it's no less, but it's different... and I was incomplete before there were two sweet boys inhabiting my heart.

One of the best parts of my trip home was getting to be with this funny little man. I was able to spend so much time with Max when he was this adorable age (btw, two year olds get a bad rap) and it has broken my heart to be far away from Jude during this time.

What surprised, and delighted, me was just how much it seemed to mean to Jude to be with me. It's almost as though he hadn't realized I'd been gone until he saw me again... And this little boy wasn't letting his Auntie out of his sight for the rest of the weekend.

What can I say? I can't resist this face and just had to share these pictures. If they don't make you smile then I suggest you visit a doctor for a possible mood disorder. Or course, I might be just a little biased, but this little boy makes me happier than almost anything.

And just like the song we always sing him, he can take a sad song and make it better.
