My heart is in Vegas,
but I miss Seattle.

Not many words are needed for this post...

I miss Seattle.

I miss the neighborhoods, the trees, the coffee shops and the people.

I miss the pretty brick houses I used to walk past.

I miss the lake I used to live right by.

I really miss this girl.

I really, really miss eating with her at our favorite Mexican restaurant... and sushi restaurant, and pizzeria, and tapas spot...

I miss my family. I miss my friends.
I miss Yen - who is both friend & family.

I miss my favorite bars, where there is never a dress code.

I miss him and him and her and I only just met her, but okay, her too.

I miss my Danny, but luckily he'll be here soon.

I even miss Cameron who says he's posing like me in this photo. Um, okay. Thanks.

I miss the comfort and the familiarity of close friends.

I miss green.

  1. I get the same way about where I come from (NY). It's not easy being in a place that (I can only assume) is so vastly different from your place of origin. Sigh.

  6. Missing a place and people you love is really hard sometimes, isn't it? I'm in OH for school, but I can't wait to get back to NJ (where I'm from).I hope you get to go back for a visit soon.

    Love your blog!

  7. Seattle misses:

    Your beautiful smile.
    Your dance moves.
    Your chopstick talent.
Your love of a good comedy sketch.
    Your hostess skills.
    Your macaroni (that's homemade, right?).
Your Fuzzy Pumas (world tour on the horizon).
    Your everything.

I'm speaking as the royal Seattle, of course, but it's safe to assume the above is correct.
