New Beginnings in the New Year.

This post is a long time coming, but I often think back to New Year's Eve night and am overwhelmed with what it represented to me. The ushering in of a new year has always been a magical time in my life. I love to reflect on what I've been through, think about the changes I want to make in the future and embrace the joy of what is to come.

This year, more than any other, was a celebration of the biggest change that will ever take place in my life. And don't get me wrong - it's not all rainbows and butterflies. It's keep-you-up-at-night terrifying, but it's also the most beautifully surprising and joyful experience I've ever known. When my baby girl kicks me, I am overwhelmed with a feeling of peace I haven't experienced before.

Back to New Year's Eve... This was a night where I was surrounded by some of the people I love most, my hair really couldn't have looked better (let's just keep it real here), I downed Shirley Temple after Shirley Temple and even when I had to drag my pregnant self to make it until midnight, I was filled with happiness.

Then there was that second right after we had counted down and the first moment of the new year was upon us. Jenner kissed me and then knelt down and kissed my baby bump and I just thought, this is one of those moments I'll never forget.

And just like that moment, this is going to be one unforgettable year.
